Australian Floetrol is a “Magical Ingredient” that enables you to produce the effect of the Bloom Technique

Floetrol creates amazing cell formations like a spider web lacing effect. There is no need for silicone therefore eliminating the need to clean your paintings before varnishing.

You generally only need about 10ml of Floetrol to make your cell activator for one small painting therefore making it economical to use

You can use any colour to mix with the Floetrol to create your cell activator. It is recommended to mix 2 parts Floetrol to one part paint but this will depend on the quality of your paint.

A pillow of white is laid down first, then layer your colours one on top of the other in a small circle in the centre.

The cell activator is then added to the final layer which will determine the outline colour of your cells.

The cell activator is then blown out across the canvas over the colours underneath There are several great You Tube videos showing the full technique.

It can also be used for the swipe technique.

There is no substitute for the Australian Floetrol to be able to achieve effects for bloom techniques.
